The evolution of music widgets

• Stone disc: Few things are known about this tipe of disc. They were the first discs to listen music, they were made of a thin layer of stone, here his characteristic name. They were placed in the gramophones a prior to the record player invended. Here we have one pic.


• Vinyl: Then came the vinyl record, made of polyvinyl chloride. The vinyl was the primary medium used for commercial music, in the 20th century. -Diameter: 7 in (17.5 cm), revolutions per minute: 45 rmp, time duration: Single and Extended Play (EP).

-RCA or RCA Red Seal: certain 45 rmp

-RIAA "Recording Industry Association of America"

• Cassette: The came the cassette, is a magnetic tape sound recording formate. In the 1858, the RCA intuduced a new device, the stereo, quater-inch, reversible, reel-to-reel, RCA tape cartridge. This new divice it was a cassette, but i fail for offered only a few pre-record tapes. In 1962 Philips develop the cassette in the compact audio cassette medium for audio storage. The mass productions of cassettes in order to listen music with them, began in 1964 in Hannover, Germany. The cassettes are made of a polyester type plastic film with a magnetic coating. They were used also for record conversations, like in movies. But the cassette revolutionized the music, because now people could listen music, for exemple, when they were driving in their car or when they were walking on the sidewalks of their city, etc.
